Studio Choo Class
I appreciate all the classes that I’ve every taken. They have given me a great base – a solid foundation to build upon. However, there are so many more styles than what I was taught in those classes. Learning is never ending. That makes me happy. I love to learn. You can’t imagine my happiness when I found out that the authors of The Flower Recipe book, Jill and Alethea – AKA Studio Choo, were offering a class on a day that I was available. I’m not going to lie. I love CrossFit and was hoping to get tickets for The Games. Though I was sad I couldn’t make the trip to Carson, CA for The Games – I was ecstatic to take the class.
Studio Choo Class
After counting down the days – I drove to South San Francisco for the Studio Choo Class. I had the chance to meet the wonderful ladies and check out their new studio space. It was decorated so fabulously… although they kept mentioning how it was a ‘work in progress’. The other students trickled in over the next half hour and we got started. It was interesting to see why each lady in attendance was there and who had floral arranging experience. We were all at varying stages of growth and learning.
The Jill and Alethea began the Studio Choo Class by demonstrating a rough outline of how to create floral arrangements similar to their signature style and then they let us loose.
We kindly took our turns attacking the buckets full of gorgeous greenery and flowers like vultures. All of the products were lovely! Dahlias, Garden Roses, Lupine, Zinnias, Foxglove, Delphinium, Hydrangea, Sweet Pea, Sedum, Poke Weed, Grapes on the Vine, and the list could go on and on and on. From “Base” to “Bits” I couldn’t get enough!
I was elated with my final product! And after getting my book signed I happily left the Studio Choo Class – satisfied with full arms and mind.
Here’s a look at the details of my 2-sided arrangement.
Would I take another Studio Choo Class? Definetly! Would I recommend others to sign up and take a class with Studio Choo? Absolutely! Whether you’re already a florist or your just love to play with pretty flowers – head on over to Studio Choo and absorb some of their style and creativity.
