Santa Rosa Golf Club Wedding | Santa Rosa, CA
All this wet weather lately has me thinking about the various weddings of 2016 that had rain. Since it’s January though, I thought I’d share photos from a Santa Rosa Golf Club Wedding from January 2016. There are a few golf clubs in the county that couples could choose from. The nice thing, in my opinion, about golf clubs is that they allow for indoor and outdoor options on wedding day. Do you like nature but also want ballroom feel? Are you getting married at a time of year when the weather could be a bit unpredictable? Do you like lush green but prefer manicured things? Well then, this could be your ideal venue. . . or at least a very valid option.
Kim and Tim were super sweet to work with. Kim was a sensible bride, on a budget. I can remember, vividly, talking over the phone with Kim for the first time and hearing her describe that she wanted LARGE white bouquets for herself and her bridesmaids. While the ladies would have large bouquets the gentlemen in the wedding party would not be having boutonnieres. I used to think this was very sad. Doesn’t every groom and groomsmen deserve a boutonniere?? Just wait until you see the pictures. I really think they all looked stunning. It’s so great when brides trust me, but I’ve learned it’s also good for me to have an open mind and trust them too.
When I arrived to the venue on wedding day, I was thankful for an overhang at the delivery door. At the same time I was worried for the bride. I would hate for the wet weather to ruin her day. Nobody likes wet hair, wet clothes, wet _____, wet ____, etc. The rain started to slow down and next thing we knew there were on-off showers, a slight drizzle and then NO RAIN! As I setup the ceremony space and separate dinner area I could see the wedding party taking photos outside. . . still no rain! I was so happy and relieved for them.
