Nautical Baby Shower
Weigh anchor and hoist your sails, a new skipper is soon to be on deck!
With the arrival of Baby McCamish quickly approaching, friends and family gathered on a beautiful spring Saturday to congratulate the excited expecting parents. The nautical baby shower decorations included many cute Sailor inspired details, made by the families of the soon-to-be parents, such as netting over the table covers, baby diaper ‘cake’ and a stunning fondant cake. I was literally in awe of the talent and cuteness. You can’t even imagine my happiness when I was told that my flowers were perfect and the finishing piece.
The party wouldn’t be complete without pregnancy games that included the men.
As well as opening gifts until the parents were literally exhausted.
I can add this to the captain’s log as a successful event and now we’ll all just have to wait for the little ‘skipper’ to arrive.
(I couldn’t resist adding one picture of me rubbing the belly – Can’t wait to meet you Baby!!)
Although I love creating floral arrangements for Weddings. It’s fun to arrange flowers for a something different. I’m always telling people to think outside the box when it comes to flowers. In my opinion, flowers are appropriate for any occasion. This Nautical Baby Shower solidified that fact in my mind. The non-floral decorations were adorable. The Nautical Baby Shower would have been ‘ok’ without floral arrangements, but the flowers really tipped the scale! I may be biased but I do love flowers.
